October 2009 : -

With effect from 1st November, 2009, Ms. Sally Law will be promoted to Assistant Finance Manager in recognition of her performance and contribution to our Group.


Ms. Fanny Tai will join our Company on 9th November, 2009 as Accountant under Finance & Administration Dept.


September 2009 : -

With the departure of Mr. Victor Cheung as of 30th September, 2009 and in recognition of his significant contribution to our group, Mr. Anil Arora shall be promoted to become Head of Ship Management & Projects, managing and be responsible for the full operation of the Ship Management & Projects Department in ship management, insurance and new building projects.  His promotion shall take effect on 1st October, 2009 and he shall be reporting directly to the Managing Director.


Concurrent with the promotion of Mr. Arora and in realignment of the responsibilities of the Ship Management & Projects Department, effective 1st October, 2009, Mr. Owen Loh shall become Manager – Ship Management & Projects, reporting directly to Mr. Arora and assisting him in managing the full range of responsibilities within the department.


We continue to count on the significant contribution of both gentlemen to our group and we wish them all the best in their respective new capacity.


July 2009: -

With the retirement of Parkson Chan on 30th June, 2009, the administration and company secretarial functions of our group have been reassigned to become under the leadership of Robin Liu.  As such, effective immediately, Accounts & Finance Department shall be renamed Finance & Administration Department. Along with such reassignment, Nancy Yung, who functionally for administration and company secretarial responsibilities, and other administration staff, shall report to Robin Liu under Finance & Administration Department.


Concurrently, with the realignment of the administration and company secretarial functions of our group from, and leaving only the commercial activities in, the Business & Administration Department, such department is now renamed Commercial Department.  In recognition of Kenny Chu taking over most of the commercial activities in the Commercial Department, we are pleased to announce the promotion of Kenny Chu, with immediate effect, to the position of Senior Commercial Manager, in recognition of his contribution to the group and in order to reflect the corporate
responsibilities assumed by him after the retirement of Parkson Chan.


February 2009 :-

On 27th February, 2009, Unique Shipping group took delivery of one New Building vessel, the m.t."RAINBOW STAR" at Japan.  She was a 47,333 DWT product tanker built at Onomichi Shipyard with Hull No. 539.  She was the 3rd MR type tanker owned by group in the current fleet.


m.t."RAINBOW STAR" was classed by NK and flying Hong Kong flag.  The vessel is on Time Charter and managed by Anglo Eastern's Singapore Office.

      

April 2008 :-

Effect from 1st April, 2008, Mr. Stephen Y. Yeung was appointed a Director of Unique Shipping (H.K.) Limited and he was also promoted to the position of Managing Director of the Company.  Mr. Yeung joined the Company in May 2007 with substantial experience in investments, business development, as well as financial and treasury management with multinational corporations in Hong Kong, China and Canada.
 

May 2007 :-

On 10th May of this year, Unique Shipping took delivery of one New Building vessel, the m.v.”Unique Carrier”.  She was a 177,000 dwt capesize bulk carrier, built at the Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipyard, China.


Classed by ABS and Hong Kong flagged, the Unique Carrier will be managed out of Anglo Eastern's Hong Kong Office.


March 2007 :-

m.v."Sylvie" was a 35,000 m3 new building LPG/NH3 carrier built at HHI yards in Ulsan, Korea, for Owners, Unique Shipping (H.K.) Ltd and she was delivered into AESM Management on 20-Mar 2007.


This is the 5th new-building joint-supervision of an LPG carrier for Unique Shipping, by Anglo Eastern.


The vessel is on Time Charter and manned by a full complement of Indian officers and crew and is expected to trade World-wide.
